Weighted EV Betting
Some sportsbooks are better than others at setting their odds. That means if you know who is better at what, then you can find value.
BeeBettor lets you encode your knowledge into the platform. It does this through Weightings.
Who is Sharp?
In our experience running BeeBettor, we've come to see some books as sharper than others. Here's a short summary.
1. 100% Pinnacle: Best for Main Markets and Game Props
2. Pinnacle, BetOnline, and optionally FanDuel: Best for MLB Player Props.
3. BetOnline, FanDuel: Best for WNBA Player Props.
Create a Weighting
Click Add new weighting.
You get to decide which sportsbooks are included in the EV calculations and by how much. If you trust a sportsbook more, simply give them a higher weight. If you don’t trust they are smart, lower their value or set it to zero. The choice is yours!
Edit a Weighting
From your weights click the "Edit" button.
Select your values for each book and which markets you want to use this weight for.
1. Pie Chart: Visual representation of how you’ve weighted your sportsbooks.
2. Weighting: Here you name your weighting and decide your devig method. (Probit, Additive, Multiplicative, Power, or Worst) Our recommendation is Probit, or Worst. You then assign a weighting to each sportsbook, higher means you trust that book more.
3. Market Selection: Decide which markets you want this weight to apply to. You can apply multiple weights to one market, this is where overlap resolution factors in.
Dealing with Multiple Active Weightings
Click View Market Weights. This will let you select how you deal with 2 or more weightings assigned to the same market. EV Calculations run for all active weights.
Worst Available: This option will show the result with the lowest positive EV percentage even if a negative exists.
Worst Possible: This option will show the result with the lowest EV percentage, or none if a negative exists.
Tracking Performance
